When you sign up to join the Fair Search Coalition, we collect:
- Organization name — to identify your nonprofit
- Contact name and email — to communicate with you about the coalition
- Website URL — to verify your organization
- Branded keywords — to add to the shared negative keyword list
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Add your branded keywords to the shared negative keyword list
- Send you monthly updates about the coalition
- Communicate important changes or announcements
- Respond to your questions or requests
We will never sell your information to third parties.
What We Share
Branded keywords only: Your organization's branded keywords will be shared with other coalition members as part of the negative keyword list. This is the core function of the coalition.
Your contact information (name, email) is never shared with other members or third parties.
Data Storage
Your information is stored in:
- Outseta — our form and CRM provider (for contact information)
- Google Sheets — for managing the keyword list (during our founding phase)
Both services have their own privacy policies and security measures.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data by emailing us
- Update your information at any time
- Delete your data and leave the coalition by emailing us
